Notes: regarding the lateral kneebar, in specific where Uke's leg is heavily sandwiched between Tori's body and reaping leg, is the result of a "contested reap", intentionally or not. In many contexts this situation can result in uncontrolled muscle tears of Uki, I caution anyone practicing this technique to be especially careful, and would not condone the use in open mat situations, as there are many examples of what happens to a Reaped Knee, where Uke cannot relieve pressure, and up until recently this situation was primarily witnessed as a tragic disaster waiting to happened, as opposed to a controllable submission. Practice with extreme caution among your training partners!
